Stephen Arthur is an Indiana attorney and Senior Counsel with Harrison Moberly, LLP. Stephen has handled hundreds of trial and appellate matters, including jury and bench trials, in Indiana state and federal district courts, the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the U.S. Military Courts. These actions have included business and tort disputes, class actions, estate and probate, drug and patent infringement, real estate, Title IX, and military criminal and administrative matters.
A certified Indiana Civil Mediator, Stephen mediates business, tort, and complex litigation disputes. Stephen sometimes serves as a Title IX Hearing Officer at the College and University level.
Stephen is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and a former President (Indiana Chapter) of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Stephen authors several treatises, books, and articles about Indiana and federal civil trial practice; and has been retained as an expert in civil litigation matters.
At the beginning of his law career, Stephen served as a Law Clerk to Chief Justice Richard M. Givan of the Indiana Supreme Court, and a Captain and Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps.
