Harrison & Moberly was a proud sponsor of the 2019 Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Indiana (APABA-IN) Central Regional Conference. The Conference featured special guest George Takei, famed actor in both TV and film, Broadway actor, author, and social activist. Mr. Takei and State Representative Chris Chyung (Indiana House District 15) were recipients of the 2019 G. Michael Witte Trailblazer Award. In addition, Cynthia Ridgeway, Corporate Strategy Director of Anthem, Inc., received the 2019 APABA-IN Spirit of Excellence Award. The Conference also included a number of diversity-based panel discussions and workshops, and a viewing of the award-winning documentary film “And Then They Came for Us”, which relives the plight of Japanese-American citizens’ internment during WWII and highlights the journey of Fred Korematsu’s fight for constitutional justice.
