For several years Harrison & Moberly has been a sponsor of Butler University athletics. Of course the Butler sports team that has the highest visibility by far is the Bulldogs’ men’s basketball team. The Dawgs have had 14 seasons of 20 wins or more in the last 16 years, including consecutive Final Four Championship Game appearances in 2010 and 2011. Our firm began sponsoring Butler athletics in 2007. We are very proud to have our name associated Butler University and its nationally acclaimed men’s basketball program. Three Harrison Moberly attorneys – Richard McOmber (Class of 1968), Thad Ailes (Class of 1994), and Jennifer Strange (Class of 2005) are proud Butler graduates. One of the benefits of our sponsorship is four season tickets to Butler men’s basketball at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. Several firm clients have been able to take advantage of our access to those seats, and more than one client who had never attended a game at Hinkle have begged their Harrison Moberly attorneys to invite them again after having had their first exposure to Butler basketball through their relationship with our firm. As any sports fan knows, Butler has joined the Atlantic Ten Conference for all sports. The Bulldogs are no longer that cute little mid major from the Horizon League. Indianapolis residents look forward to seeing many new opponents for Butler this season and in seasons to come as a result of the school’s change in its conference affiliation. Five teams that played in last year’s NCAA tournament will make appearances this year at Hinkle Fieldhouse – Xavier, Gonzaga, Temple, St. Louis, and St. Bonaventure. Butler’s schedule features games against 16 teams that made one of the college basketball post season tournaments last season, including a game at Conseco Fieldhouse on December 15 against the number one ranked Hoosiers of Indiana University.
